Settled in the heart of Vosne-Romanée since 1815, the Comte Liger-Belair wanted to create a Place to Live in 2022 that would be open to everyone, with the aim of meeting the expectations of everyone living in Vosne-Romanée:

  • the local residents of the village
  • the wineries and their employees,
  • visitors to the village, whether from near or far.

So they have come up with a space that combines an organic and/or local grocery shop, a coffee shop, a post office, a wine bar, four guest rooms and a seminar room.

The wine bar

A unique place, in the heart of the Vosne-Romanée vineyard, with a simple ambition: to enable anyone who has travelled 10, 100 or 10 000 kilometres to discover Vosne-Romanée to enjoy a glass of Vosne-Romanée at Vosne-Romanée…

But also many other wines from Burgundy and elsewhere, all based on a common theme: organic or biodynamic viticulture and respect for living organisms, in a selection of more than 1,700 references at low prices, so that the winegrower, who is behind everything, retains most of the profit from his work.

The wine list also includes over 900 wines for you to take home with you, or to send to your home by La Poste, a service integrated into the wine bar!

Four large, air-conditioned rooms, all on the first floor of the building, have been totally designed in a warm and cosy spirit.

La cuverie By
Comte Liger-Belair

It all started in 2018 when the Lamadon family, owner of a house in the heart of Vosne-Romanée, and linked to the Liger-Belair family in the exploitation of their vines since the 1930s, wanted to sell their house and naturally proposed to Louis-Michel and Constance Liger-Belair.

Rather than acquiring it to transform it into an empty residential space like many other houses in wine-growing villages, they wanted to create a place that would bring together everything they had missed since their installation in the heart of the village in 1999 at the following their wedding. A simple and welcoming place to live that brings together everything you might need when living in a French village: a grocery shop, a café, a wine bar, a post office, a meeting/seminar room, guest rooms.

La Cuverie de Vosne is the result of this wish!
